• An undergraduate applicant admitted as a non-degree student is allowed to earn up to 12 semester hours from selected courses. Students may not enroll in any course for which there is a learning support prerequisite unless they have been screened for and have exempted the relevant learning support course. Students are advised to check course prerequisites and descriptions carefully and to consult with an academic advisor prior to registering for courses. Review the courses approved for non-degree undergraduate students.
• Post-associate or bachelor's non-degree seeking students must have earned an associate degree (does not include applied science) or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• If you are 62 or older and are classified as a legal Georgia resident, you do not pay tuition or mandatory fees. To receive a waiver for tuition and mandatory fees, you must register for your classes on the first day of classes or during the drop/add registration period. Check the academic calendar for the semester in which you intend to enroll to determine the date of the first day of classes. You will be responsible for paying course specific fees and buying books. If you are pursuing a degree, apply for admission as a non-traditional adult student or transfer student.
• If you seek academic credit and you are not auditing, you may not enroll in a course for which there is a learning support prerequisite unless you pass the ACCUPLACER exam requirements in reading, English, and math, or complete the appropriate learning support or other prerequisite course. Please check course prerequisites and descriptions and consult with an academic advisor prior to registering for a course. Effective 01/24/19 there is a fee of $11.50 USD per Accuplacer test session.
• You may audit a class for no academic credit if space is available in the course you would like to audit. You will not be required to take course exams. If you are applying for admission solely to audit a course or courses, apply as a non-degree seeking student. After you are accepted for admission and during the course registration period, you must inform the registrar and your course instructor that you intend to audit the course. Once enrolled, you cannot change from audit status to credit status, nor can you receive retroactive academic credit. If you wish to receive academic credit, you must take the course again. Note that you will pay the regular course rate for tuition, fees and books.
