Tau Upsilon Alpha National Honor Society
is the National Honor Society for Human Services Students. Its purpose is to honor academic excellence; to foster lifelong learning, leadership and development; and to promote excellence in service to humanity. Tau Upsilon Alpha is a program of the National Organization of Human Services.
Chapter Information
Alpha Pi, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½’s chapter of Tau Upsilon Alpha, inducted its first members in November 2012.
Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Students:
- Must be enrolled in HSDA (as a major or minor) or a closely related social science field (including social work)
- Must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- If enrolled in an associate degree program, must have completed at least 12 credit hours in courses leading to the associate degree.
- If enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program, must have completed at least the equivalent of three full-time semesters of courses leading to the baccalaureate degree.
- Must agree to abide by the National Organization for Human Services Code of Ethics and must show evidence of awareness of the value of leadership and service to a successful career in the human services.
