Scholarships

Yearly Scholarship Support

Each year, the Honors program offers one-time, competitive scholarships to students who need support for capstone or thesis supplies, professional development opportunities, or other activities that enhance their Honors curriculum. All Honors students who are active participants and are well-poised to graduate with Honors Program distinction may apply for these limited funds. Students can learn more by reading through the Honors Program One-Time Scholarship application at InfoReady. All applications are due November 15.

In addition, the Honors Program also provides limited funding for study abroad on a competitive basis. To receive priority consideration, please apply for the Honors Study Abroad scholarship by November 15. You can learn more about the application by visiting the Honors Program Study Abroad webpage.

Presidential Scholarships

The Choate Family Presidential Scholarship, the William P. Roberts Presidential Scholarship, and the Alexander Brevard Russell Scholarship are awarded competitively to the most academically qualified incoming freshmen.

Incoming first-year students accepted into the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Honors Program are automatically considered for these scholarships. Three to four students are selected each year for these awards.

Scholars receive up to $1,000 per year, renewable for up to four years of study, depending on degree track. At present, Presidential Scholarships are available only on the Dahlonega Campus.

Scholarship Renewal

Presidential Scholarships are available for up to 12 semesters, renewed annually, provided recipients meet the following:

  • Be enrolled in and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (fall and spring)
  • Maintain good standing in the Honors Program

Notification of Awards
