Â鶹´«Ã½ Night at Braves is Sept. 7

Â鶹´«Ã½ (Â鶹´«Ã½) students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends will have a chance to enjoy an Atlanta Braves game together for the fourth year in a row. The Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni Association is sponsoring its fourth annual for Atlanta's Sept. 7 game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which is set for 7:20 p.m.
More than 2,000 tickets are available for those connected with Â鶹´«Ã½ to attend the game at Truist Park in Atlanta. The seating is in sections 410-417.
Individual tickets of up to nine guests are $25 each and can be purchased on the . For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $23 each and can be purchased by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni Relations office at 70 Alumni Drive at Â鶹´«Ã½'s Dahlonega Campus. All proceeds will benefit the Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association encourages everyone to wear their Â鶹´«Ã½ blue and gold to the Braves game.
The event was initiated by Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins. Â鶹´«Ã½ Night at the Braves featured games against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023.
Alumni Weekend set for April 25-27
Â鶹´«Ã½'s Alumni Weekend is set for April 25-27, including the 54th Alumni Awards banquet, a golf tournament, reunions, musical events, and Reunite.
Leadership luncheon honors 13 women
The ninth annual Women's Leadership Recognition Luncheon honored 10 student leaders and three alumnae March 2 at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Dining Hall Banquet Room at the Dahlonega Campus.
Luncheon honors scholarship recipients
Five nontraditional female students at Â鶹´«Ã½ each earned a $2,000 scholarship from the Women of Â鶹´«Ã½ on Dec. 5 at the Women's Holiday Scholarship Luncheon.
Grads prepare for their next steps
Â鶹´«Ã½ will award almost 1,000 degrees and certificates this fall, and more than 600 graduates are scheduled to take part in the Dec. 7 commencement ceremonies.
